How Payments Work at ShopKatalog
ShopKatalog uses Paystack to securely process subscription payments. When your free trial ends or your subscription expires, you can renew or extend it directly from your dashboard. Each payment is a one-time transaction for the plan you choose — there are no saved payment methods or automatic recurring charges.

How to Pay for Your Subscription
You pay for subscriptions from your Subscriptions page on the dashboard. Here's the step-by-step process:
- Log into your ShopKatalog account
- Go to
Dashboard → Subscriptions - Find the shop you want to renew or activate and click "Renew" (for active/trial shops) or "Pay Now" (for expired/suspended shops)
- A plan selection modal will appear — choose your preferred duration (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months)
- Click the "Pay" button to proceed
- You'll be redirected to Paystack's secure checkout page where you can choose your payment channel (card, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money, OPay, etc.)
- Complete the payment on Paystack
- You'll be automatically redirected back to ShopKatalog where your payment is verified
- Once verified, your shop subscription is activated immediately and you'll receive a receipt via email
✅ Instant Activation: Your subscription is activated as soon as payment is confirmed. If you renew early, the remaining days on your current subscription are preserved and added to your new plan.

When paying, you can choose from the following subscription durations. Longer plans come with discounts:
1 Month
Full monthly price, no discount. Best for trying things out.
3 Months
5% discount. Great for getting started.
6 Months
10% discount. Good value for committed sellers.
12 Months

Payment Receipts & History
After each successful payment:
- A receipt email is sent to your registered email address with the shop name, plan, amount, and transaction reference
- Your payment history is visible on the Subscriptions page under the "Payment History" section
- Each entry shows the shop name, amount paid, payment status, and date

Is my card information safe?
Yes. Payments are processed entirely by Paystack (PCI-DSS certified). ShopKatalog never sees or stores your card details.
What currency are payments in?
All subscription payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) through Paystack.
Can I use an international card?
Yes. Paystack accepts international Visa and Mastercard. Check with your card issuer for any international transaction fees.
Are payments automatically recurring?
No. Each payment is a one-time transaction. When your subscription expires, you'll need to manually renew from your dashboard. You'll receive email reminders before your subscription expires.
What if my payment fails?
If payment fails, no charges are applied. You can try again with a different payment method. If your subscription has already expired, your shop will be suspended until you successfully pay.
What happens if I renew early?
If you renew before your current subscription expires, the remaining days are preserved and added to your new plan. You won't lose any time you've already paid for.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes. A payment receipt is automatically sent to your email after every successful payment. You can also view your full payment history on the Subscriptions page in your dashboard.
