Quick Start Guide

Welcome to ShopKatalog! This guide will help you create your first online shop and start selling in just 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

First, you need to create a ShopKatalog account:

1. Go to shopkatalog.com/sign-up
2. Enter your name, email, and create a secure password
3. Or sign up quickly with Google, Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok
4. Verify your email address (check your inbox)

Step 2: Create Your First Shop

Once you're logged in, create your shop:

1. Click the "Create Shop" button on your dashboard
2. Enter your shop name (e.g., "John's Electronics")
3. Choose a unique subdomain (e.g., "johns-electronics")
4. Add a brief shop description
5. Enter your contact information (WhatsApp, email, etc.)
6. Click "Create Shop"

Step 3: Add Your First Product

Now let's add a product to your shop:

1. Go to your shop dashboard
2. Click "Add Product"
3. Enter product details:
   • Product name
   • Description
   • Price (in your local currency)
   • Category (optional)
4. Upload product images (recommended: at least 800x800px)
5. Set inventory quantity (if applicable)
6. Click "Save Product"

Step 4: Customize Your Shop

Make your shop stand out:

1. Upload your shop logo
2. Customize your shop description
3. Add your social media links (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
4. Set up your preferred checkout methods:
   • WhatsApp number
   • Instagram handle
   • Facebook page
   • TikTok account

Step 5: Share Your Shop

Your shop is live! Start getting customers:

1. Copy your shop URL (e.g., yourshop.shopkatalog.com)
2. Share it on:
   • WhatsApp status
   • Instagram bio and posts
   • Facebook page
   • TikTok bio
   • Twitter/X profile
3. Add it to your email signature
4. Print it on business cards

How Orders Work

Here's what happens when a customer places an order:

1. Customer visits your shop and browses products
2. They add items to their cart
3. They click "Checkout" and choose a platform:
   • WhatsApp - Opens WhatsApp with order details
   • Instagram - Opens Instagram DM
   • Facebook - Opens Messenger
   • TikTok - Redirects to TikTok
4. You receive their order details directly
5. You discuss payment and delivery with the customer
6. Complete the transaction your way (bank transfer, cash on delivery, mobile money, etc.)
